Coulaient ce sang des victimes en nombre

Les villes brûlaient et le ciel flambait
De toutes ces exactions fratricides.
Les eaux caillées du sang qu’elles charriaient
Semblaient colorer l’enfer des nuages.

De ses griffes de violence et de rage.

These times forgotten in dark memories

France... I've never been to France, but I wish I had, for what I have read. My all-time favorite novel is The Count of Monte-Cristo, by Alexander Dumas.
